What Is Truth? - What Hath The LORD Answered Thee, What Hath The LORD Spoken Unto Thee?
"Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a king then? JESUS answered, Thou sayest that I am a king, To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth My Voice. [!] Pilate saith unto Him, What is truth?" John 18:37-38

Martin Luther & The Reformation
The subjects of consideration within What Is Truth? will be the errors which are prominent within Catholicism and the Roman Catholic Church, and ruinous to those therein. Eventually (when the editor has time to attend to such), much more space will be devoted to the errors and wrongs prevalent within Protestant Christianity than to the errors and wrongs pervasive within Catholicism and Roman Catholicism, but for the interim, greater emphasis will be placed on the sins of institutionalized heresy within Catholicism in general, and within Roman Catholicism in particular. [Errors and wrongs within Protestant Christianity will be addressed in several chapters, but chiefly within Key Doctrinal Questions. Cults are, and will be more extensively, addressed in chapters including Arise: Contend for the Faith.]

. But before proceeding,
I believe mention should be made
of a good and courageous man who has recently passed on from this life. John
"Cardinal" O'Connor stood faithfully against the evils of induced abortion and
sodomy. He contended against forces of evil which sought to force their evil agendas (which were and
are in fact tentacles of one evil satanic agenda) upon the people of this nation,
and especially targeted the young, tender, and impressionable for destruction. Though he was
relentlessly, viciously attacked by a concerted front of evil, he never wavered in
his devotion to his God-given duty to protect his flock from these damnable evils.
He was loved by those whom he served. He was hated and feared by those he
defended against. He suffered much for his faithfulness. He will be missed as
the battles rage on. He was among the very best of those who have led the Catholic
Church. He would have been the most outstanding possible instrument to
lead the
Catholic Church in time to come, but sadly he is gone from this earthly
battleground, where he fought long, hard, and valiantly for the right. Men
of his measure come by only rarely, and speaking of men of his stature, Martin
Luther's legacy of striving to right the myriad and ruinous wrongs of the Roman
Catholic church's hierarchy remains to this day:

Martin Luther's 95 Theses, Wittenberg, October 31, 1517 Revisited
![]()
.
Excerpts from Luther's 95
Theses -
1. When our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, used the words, "Penitentiam
agite" (do penance), He meant that the whole life of the faithful should be one
of repentance.
When our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, says "Repent ye," etc., He means that
the entire life of the faithful should be a repentance.
2. This statement cannot be understood of the sacrament of pennance, i.e., of confession and satisfaction, which is administered by the priesthood.
5. The pope does not wish, nor is he able, to remit any penalty except what he or the Canon Law has imposed.
6. The pope cannot remit any condemnation; but can only declare, and confirm the remission that God Himself has given, except only in cases that belong to him. If he does otherwise, the condemnation continues the same.
8. The laws of ecclesiastical penance can only be imposed on the living, and in no wise respect the dead.
22. The greater part of the people who have purchased indulgences will be deceived by this undistinguishing and pretentious promise which cannot be fulfilled.
25. The same power that the pope has over purgatory in the Church at large, is possessed by every bishop and every curate in his own particular diocese and parish.
27. Those persons preach human inventions who pretend that, at the very
moment when the money sounds in the strong box, the soul escapes from purgatory.
They preach human folly who pretend that as soon as money in the coffer rings a soul from
purgatory springs.
(This thesis had to do with the practice of selling indulgences on behalf of the dead.)
28. It is certain that avarice is fostered by the money clinking in the chest, but to answer the prayers of the Church is in the power of God alone.
32. Those who fancy themselves sure of their salvation by indulgences, will go to the devil with those who teach them this doctrine.
36. Every Christian who truly repents has plenary {full} forgiveness both of punishment and guilt bestowed on him, even without letters of indulgence.
37. Every true Christian, alive or dead, participates in all of
the goods of Christ and the Church without letters of pardon.
Every true Christian, whether living or dead, has a share in all the benefits of
Christ and the Church, for God has granted him these, even without letters of indulgence.
39. Yet we must not despise the pope's distributive and pardoning power; for his pardon is a declaration of God's pardon.
42. We must teach Christians that the pope neither expects nor wishes us to compare the act of preaching indulgences with any charitable work whatsoever.
43. We must teach Christians that he who gives to the poor, or lends to the needy, does better than he who buys an indulgence.
45. We must teach Christians that he who sees his neighbor in want, and,
notwithstanding that, buys an indulgence, does not in reality acquire the pope's
indulgence, and draws down on himself the anger of God.
Christians should be taught that whoever sees a person in need and, instead of helping
him, uses his money for an indulgence, obtains not an indulgence of the pope but the
displeasure of God.
51. Christians are to be taught that if the pope knew the exactions of
the preachers of indulgences, he would rather have St. Peter's church in ashes than have
it built with the flesh and bones of his sheep.
Christians should be taught that the pope ought and would give his own substance to the
poor, from whom certain preachers of indulgences extract money, even if he had to sell St.
Peter's Cathedral to do it.
53. They are the enemies of the pope and of Christ, who, to favor the preaching of indulgences, forbid the preaching of the Word of God.
62. The true treasure of the Church is the holy Gospel of the glory and grace of God.
81. This shameless preaching of pardons makes it hard even for learned men to defend the pope's honor against calumny or to answer the indubitably shrewd questions of the laity.
82. For example: "Why does not the pope empty purgatory for the sake of holy love...for after all, he does release countless souls for the sake of sordid money contributed for the building of a cathedral?..."
90. To suppress these very telling arguments of the laity by force instead of answering them with adequate reasons would be to expose the church and the pope to the ridicule of their enemies and to render Christians unhappy.
94. We must exhort Christians to endeavor to follow Christ, their Head,
under the cross, through death and hell.
We should admonish Christians to follow Christ, their Head, through punishment, death, and
hell.
95. For it is better through much tribulation to enter into the kingdom
of heaven, than to gain a carnal eternity by the consolation of a false peace.
And so let them set their trust on entering heaven through many tribulations rather than
some false security and peace.
Editor's note: At the time of his setting forth of his propositions/theses in writing, Martin (Luder) Luther was a Romanist of the Romanists (a Roman Catholic of the Roman Catholics), even as the apostle Paul was a Pharisees of the Pharisees; Luther was still deeply bound by the heretical man-made Roman 'Church' dogmas he had been indoctrinated with. He did not set out to rock the Church, nor even the pope, but set out to denounce the utterly iniquitous, utterly unchristian, pagan, anti-christ 'Church' practice of manipulatively extracting indulgences from the flock (Martin Luther did not at this time recognize the depth of depravity and dearth of godliness pervasive in and throughout the highest ranks of the Roman 'Church;' he was soon to learn otherwise!).
.
Luther's Address to the
Christian Nobility of the German Nation
The time for silence is past, and the time to speak has come....
The Romanists have very cleverly built three walls around themselves. Hitherto they have protected themselves by these walls in such a way that no one has been able to reform them. As a result, the whole of Christendom has fallen abominably.
In the first place, when pressed by the temporal power, they have made decrees and declared that the temporal power had no jurisdiction over them, but that, on the contrary, the spiritual power is above the temporal.
In the second place, when the attempt is made to reprove them with the Scriptures, they raise the objection that only the pope may interpret the Scriptures.
In the third place, if threatened with a council, their story is that no one may summon a council but the pope....
Let us begin by attacking the first wall. It is pure invention that pope, bishop, priests, and monks are called the spiritual estate, while princes, lords, artisans, and farmers are called the temporal estate. This is indeed a piece of deceit and hypocrisy. Yet no one need be intimidated by it, and for this reason: All Christians are truly of the spiritual estate, and there is no difference among them except that of office. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, that we are all one body, yet every member has its own work by which it serves the others. This is because we all have one baptism, one gospel, one faith, and are all Christians alike; for baptism, gospel, and faith alone make us spiritual and a Christian people.
The pope or bishop anoints, shaves heads, ordains, consecrates, and
prescribes garb different from that of the laity, but he can never make a man into a
Christian or into a spiritual man by so doing. He might well make a man into a hypocrite
or humbug and blockhead, but never a Christian or a spiritual man. As far as that goes, we
are all consecrated priests through baptism, as St. Peter says in 1 Peter 2:9.
The second wall is still more loosely built and less substantial. The Romanists want to be
the only masters of Holy Scripture, although they never learn a thing from the Bible all
their life long.... Their claim that only the pope may interpret Scripture is an outrageous
fancied fable. They cannot produce a single letter [of Scripture] to maintain that the
interpretation of Scripture or the confirmation of its interpretation belongs to the pope
alone. They themselves have usurped this power. And although they allege that this power
was given to St. Peter when the keys were given him, it is clear enough that the keys were
not given to Peter alone but to the whole community.
Further, the keys were not ordained for doctrine or government, but only for the binding
or loosing of sin. Whatever more or whatever more they arrogate to themselves on the basis
of the keys is a mere fabrication. But Christ's words to Peter, "I have prayed for
you that your faith fail not" [Luke 22:32], cannot be applied to the pope, since the
majority of the popes have been without faith, as they must themselves confess.
Besides,
it is not only for Peter that Christ prayed, but also for all apostles and Christians, as
he says in John 17:9,20, "Father, I pray for those whom thou hast given me, and not
for these only, but for all who believe on me through their word."
Is that not clear
enough?
The third wall falls of itself when the first two are down.... The Romanists have no basis
in Scripture for their claim that the pope alone has the right to call or confirm a
council. This is just their own ruling, and it is only valid as long as it is not harmful
to Christendom or contrary to the laws of God. Now when the pope deserves punishment, this
ruling no longer obtains, for not to punish him by authority of a council is harmful to
Christendom.
Thus we read in Acts 15 that it was not St. Peter who called the apostolic council but the
apostles and elders.... Even the Council of Nicaea, the most famous of all councils, was
neither called nor confirmed by the bishop of Rome, but by the emperor Constantine.
Many
other emperors after him have done the same, and yet councils were the most Christian of
all. But if the pope alone has the right to convene councils, then these councils would
all have been heretical. Further, when I examine the councils the pope did summon, I find
that they did nothing of special importance.
Therefore, when necessity demands it, and the pope is an offense to Christendom, the first
man who is able should, as a true member of the whole body, do what he can to bring about
a truly free council....
God give us all a Christian mind, and grant to the Christian nobility of the German nation
in particular true spiritual courage to do the best they can for the poor church.
Amen.
. Luther's On the Babylonian Captivity of the
Church
To begin with, I must deny that there are seven sacraments, and for the
present maintain that there are but three; baptism, penance, and the bread [Communion].
All three have been subjected to a miserable captivity by the Roman curia, and the church
has been robbed of all her liberty. Now concerning the sacrament of the bread first of
all...the first captivity of this sacrament, therefore, concerns its substance or
completeness, which the tyranny of Rome has wrested from us. Not that those who use only
one kind sin against Christ, for Christ did not command the use of either kind, but left
it to the choice of each individual, when he said: "As often as you do this, do it in
remembrance of me" [1 Corinthians 11:25]. But they are the sinners, who forbid the giving of
both kinds to those who wish to exercise this choice. The fault lies not with the laity,
but with the priests. The sacrament does not belong to the priests, but to all men.
The
priests are not lords, but servants in duty bound to administer both kinds to those who
desire them, as often as they desire them....
When the Evangelists plainly write that Christ took bread and blessed it, ...we have to
think of real bread and real wine, just as we do of a real cup (for even they do not say
that the cup was transubstantiated). Since it is not necessary, therefore, to assume a
transubstantiation effected by divine power, it must be regarded as a figment of the human
mind, for it rests neither on the Scriptures nor on reason.
Perhaps they will say that the danger of idolatry demands that the bread and wine should
not be really present. How ridiculous! The laymen have never become familiar with their
finespun philosophy of substance and accidents, and could not grasp it if it were taught
to them.
The third captivity of this sacrament is by far the most wicked of all, in consequence of
which there is no opinion more generally held or more firmly believed in the church today
than this, that the Mass is a good work and a sacrifice. And this abuse has brought an
endless host of other abuses in its train, so that the faith of this sacrament has become
utterly extinct and the holy sacrament has been turned into mere merchandise, a market,
and a profitmaking business. Hence participations, brotherhoods, intercessions, merits,
anniversaries, memorial days and the like wares are bought and sold, traded and bartered,
in the church. On these the priests and monks depend for their entire livelihood.
I am attacking a difficult matter, an abuse perhaps impossible to uproot, since through
centuries-long custom and the common consent of men it has become so firmly entrenched
that it would be necessary to abolish most of the books now in vogue, and to alter almost
the entire external form of the churches and introduce, or rather reintroduce, a totally
different kind of ceremonies. But my Christ lives, and we must be careful to give more
heed to the Word of God than to all the thoughts of men and of angels.

Luther's On the Freedom of a
Christian
A Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none.
A Christian is a perfectly dutiful servant of all, subject to all.
These two theses seem to contradict each other. If, however, they would serve our purpose
beautifully. Both are Paul's own statements, who says in 1Corinthians 9:19, "For
though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all," and in Romans
13:8, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another." Love by its very nature
is ready to serve and be subject to him who is loved. So Christ, although he was Lord of
all, was "born of woman, born under the law" [Gal. 4:4], and therefore, was at
the same time a free man and a servant, "in the form of God" and "of a
servant" [Phil. 2:6-7].
Let us start, however, with something more remote from our subject, but more obvious.
Man
has a twofold nature, a spiritual and a bodily one...[and] these two men in the same man
contradict each other, "for the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the
desires of the Spirit are against the flesh," according to Galatians 5:17.
First, let us consider the inner man to see how a righteous, free, and pious Christian,
that is, a spiritual, new, and inner man, becomes what he is. It is evident that no
external thing has any influence in producing Christian righteousness or
freedom.... One
thing, and only one thing, is necessary for Christian life, righteousness, and freedom.
That one thing is the most holy Word of God, the gospel of Christ....
To preach Christ means to feed the soul, make it righteous, set it free, and save it,
provided it believes the preaching.... Therefore it is clear that, as the soul needs only
the Word of God for its life and righteousness, so it is justified by faith alone and not
any works; for if it could be justified by anything else, it would not need the Word, and
consequently it would not need faith....
Since, therefore, this faith can rule only in the inner man, and since faith alone
justifies, it is clear that the inner man cannot be justified, freed, or saved by any
outer work or action at all, and that these works, whatever their character, have nothing
to do with this inner man.... Wherefore it ought to be the first concern of every Christian
to lay aside all confidence in works and increasingly to strengthen faith alone and
through faith to grow in the knowledge, not of works, but of Christ Jesus.

. Catholicism: Prologue
The subject considered here is: what is wrong with Catholicism in general (meaning not the universal Christian Church, but rather, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Orthodox Churches, i.e., Greek, Eastern, Russian), and what is wrong with Roman Catholicism in particular; additionally, what consequences have resulted and are resulting from wrongs within Catholicism (the rights and wrongs, errors, corruptions, heresies, apostasy of Protestant Churches will be addressed at length in separate discourses within Key Doctrinal Questions, Other Spiritual Questions, and perhaps here within What is Truth?).
The sole authority relied upon herein shall be the Holy Scriptures, i.e., The Holy Bible, the Authorized Version, or AV, also called the King James Version Bible or KJV.
The Holy Bible is The WORD of GOD, not the word of man, it is not subject to the private interpretations of sinful men (2 Peter 1:20,21); The WORD is spiritual and as such is spiritually discerned not carnally. GOD's WORD will be shared simply, and plainly, in concert with what should be seen to be the true, spiritual, uncomplicated, uncontrived, unconvoluted, untortured meaning of the scriptures, as given forth in the context of the full counsel of GOD.
As for the necessity of contesting doctrine superceding that of contesting practice, the author defers to an earlier author, namely Dr. Martin Luther, "Others before me have contested practice. But to contest doctrine, that is to grab the goose by the neck!"
Many criticisms leveled at Martin Luther can be charged to CBM's editor, and other denunciations as well (seeing as he [CBM's editor] is not a Catholic Doctor of Theology or Divinity, as Martin Luther was, nor is he bedecked with virtually any of Martin Luther's credentials, nor yet those of the learned and godly translators of the 1611 Authorized Version Bible, or King James Bible [who said the following, "So that if, on the one side, we shall be traduced by Popish Persons at home or abroad, who therefore will malign us, because we are poor instruments to make God's holy Truth to be yet more and more known unto the people, whom they desire still to keep in ignorance and darkness; or if, on the other side, we shall be maligned by self-conceited Brethren, who run their own ways, and give liking unto nothing, but what is framed by themselves, and hammered on their anvil; we may rest secure, supported within by the truth and innocency of a good conscience, having walked the ways of simplicity and integrity, as before the Lord"]; still, he [CBM's editor] is at least as lettered as the apostles [with the exception of Paul, who was not numbered among the original apostles, nor disciples], whom the 'Holy Roman Church' fraudulently claims as its originating Church fathers, and attributes its claim of a divine 'apostolic succession' precedent to), and even exceeding Dr. Martin Luther, he is still suffering without the blessing of wedded love and the marriage bed beyond the age of 53 years, while Luther was wed to Katharine van Bora while he was a mere 41 years of age (perhaps CBM's editor should become a Monk after all?).
Whether it is nobler to indulge the papacy of the Vatican, or to obey the LORD and GOD of all living, that is the question.

. The Just Shall Live By Faith
Romans1:16-19
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to
every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
For the wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shewed it unto them.
Habakkuk 2:4
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the
just shall live by his faith.
Yes, by Faith in the Living GOD, in Christ Jesus, in the Word of God, by obedience born of
faith in GOD, not by man's perversions of GOD's Word, nor by compliance with manmade
heresies, rituals, and ceremonies.
.
The Battle Hymn of the
Reformation - Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
A mighty Fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing,
Our Helper He, amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing.
For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow'r are great; And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide, Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth His name, From age to age the same, And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us.
The prince of darkness grim -- We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, For lo! his doom is sure, One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly powers -- No thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours Through Him who with us sideth.
Let goods and kindred go, This mortal life also;
The body they may kill; God's truth abideth still, His Kingdom is forever.
.
The question addressed herein is not whether some or many Roman Catholic people are seeking to do right (many are, as evidenced on September 11, 2001, by the selflessly sacrificial exploits of many hundreds of New York City Firemen and Policemen, the majority [seemingly the overwhelming majority] of whom were Roman Catholic, and so many hundreds of whom tragically died as a result of unflinchingly jeopardizing their lives to save the lives of others). Nor is the question whether some or many Roman Catholic people have sought to do, and have done, far more righteously during the past few decades in the USA concerning opposing and countering the monstrous evils of induced abortion, and the connected evils of infanticide, 'fetal harvesting' & 'fetal experimentation,' 'embryological research,' cloning, euthanasia/'mercy killing,' 'birth control' (destruction of conceived babies), the overwhelming majority of what is euphemistically referred to as 'family planning,' and the catalytic Trojan horse 'sex education,' i.e., the coldly calculated sexual indoctrination, enticement, corruption, seduction, perversion, and destruction of the young (many Roman Catholics have and do). Nor is the question whether many Roman Catholic people have led the way in evidencing sacrificial love in seeking to care for unwed mothers and their babies, prior to the babies' births, and following their births, than the majority of people referred to as protestant, evangelical, charismatic, or pentecostal have (again, many Roman Catholics have and do). Indeed it is difficult to imagine a 'pro-life' movement without the dominant Roman Catholic presence, i.e., Nellie Gray's March for Life, National Right to Life, Judy Brown's American Life League, Human Life International, even Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum, Operation Rescue [inspired by the enormous self-sacrifice(s) of heroine Joan Andrews Bell], and Priests for Life...the Roman Catholic influence in the 'Crisis' Pregnancy Center and adoption movements or ministries, though less dominant has nonetheless led the way and continues to be vitally involved, e.g., via Birthright, National Life Center, 1st Way, and White Rose...among others.
The question addressed herein is whether extremely prominent teachings, beliefs, and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church are Biblical, are true, are of GOD, or whether they are of man at the best, or authored and masterminded by Satan, the enemy of our souls, the enemy of GOD, at the worst; additionally, whether these teachings are used to destroy those whom CHRIST came to save. These questions are of the gravest importance, at all times, but most especially at this time in human history, as The Anti-Christ and The Great Tribulation draw nigh at hand! And though this examination will likely and regrettably offend many good people, nonetheless, it must be engaged, as lives and eternities are weightier, more costly and precious than feelings, reputations, man-made traditions, and pride, even of good people.
Again the basis of this discussion will be whether certain teachings, communications, and beliefs, propounded as being sacred, holy, authoritatively from GOD, are in fact in keeping with the Holy Bible and the true Gospel of JESUS CHRIST; whether they are in agreement with the same, are supported by the same, or whether they are contrary to the Scriptures, contrary to the true Gospel of JESUS CHRIST, being repudiated by the Scriptures rather than reinforced, and are seen to be diametrically contrary to, at odds with, and warring against the truth of GOD.
As for those who insist that there is 'other proof' which must be viewed in order to validate the teachings, beliefs, and doctrines in question, and their underlying premise(s); let it be said that:
Their is no Scripture to validate the fallacious claim that 'other proof' is to be resorted to in the absence of Scriptural proof, or when teachings are in conflict with Scripture (indeed 'other proofs' are resorted to deliberately to undermine, thwart, and veto God's Word!);
The Holy Bible scriptures are the only sure basis (according to no less an authority than JESUS CHRIST), being authored by the Spirit of GOD;
Additionally, any genuine revelation or prophecy must concur with the Holy Bible scriptures to be authenticated as being of GOD;
Furthermore, conflict with, and contradiction of, the Scriptures and the GOSPEL is proof of error, heresy...;
What is more, the cults (definitely including Islam) rely incessantly and indispensably upon 'validation' from 'other sources' and documents (of their authoring), the true GOSPEL does not!;
And finally, whatever cannot be proven from GOD's revealed Word, The Holy Bible, and yet claims to be spiritually true, is proven to be spiritually false!
Some people incorrectly believe Roman Catholicism is like the cults, these people are very seriously mistaken.
The Cults (definitely including Islam) are the wicked inventions of Satan, which were founded on lies, dedicated to the undermining, and undoing, of the finished work of JESUS CHRIST. They depend upon plagiarizing the WORD of GOD to give themselves some semblance of credibility and respectability; they rely on 'creatively' editing GOD's WORD to suit their wicked intentions, perverting it to serve Satan in attempting to destroy those whom CHRIST came to save.
Catholicism however began with the truth; Catholicism was founded on the truth of the Gospel of Jesus the Christ. The question is how much of the truth remains and how much of what is taught, espoused, and communicated by the Catholic Churches generally, and by the Roman Catholic Church specifically, instead of being from GOD, is contrary to the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST, and is in fact warring against the finished work of JESUS CHRIST, due to the accomplishment of what CHRIST JESUS, Peter, John, Paul, and Jude...warned of repeatedly and gravely, i.e., the flock being infiltrated, corrupted, and even overrun by wolves in sheep's clothing, false prophets, reprobate priests, hirelings, and enemies of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST?!!
This examination is not principally concerned with the wood, hay, stubble, and even dung which men have piled upon the true foundation of JESUS CHRIST ('benignly' harmful to the purposes of GOD, though they are), but is chiefly concerned with 'additions' to, 'changes' to, and deletions from, the true Gospel, which are of a more decidedly malignant nature (though both types will be examined, as both types are dangerously harmful, and yes both can kill, i.e., numbers of people do die every day as a result of "benign" conditions!).
. As with all of CBM's communications, the answer(s) may be one(s) you and others would
rather not know, but which demand to be told, which must be made known for the sake of
those whom CHRIST came and suffered to save (such as you and your family and
loved ones!).
You may feel free to copy and re-distribute the text of CBM's theses and treatises, enclosed herein, freely, if you care to (so long as you do so freely, i.e., so long as you do not charge for them [can you imagine trying to charge for them, i.e., sell them? I have never been paid to minister, preach, teach, broadcast....]).
