What Is Truth? - What Hath The LORD Answered Thee, What Hath The LORD Spoken Unto Thee?

"Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou a king then?  JESUS answered, Thou sayest that I am a king, To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.  Every one that is of the truth heareth My Voice. .  Don't Be Conned by Icons, 'holy' Relics, & other assorted Trappings, which are contrary to God's Holy Word and true religion

Orthodox authorities have stated that 'Christ is in the Icons depicting Christ, and that the honor & worship directed at these relics is transmitted to the personage depicted therein.'

And while it may be a strong temptation to heed the persuasive words of experts, God's Word is the ultimate authority, and as such must always take ultimate precedent over all other thoughts, words, opinions....

From the Ten Commandments, the First and Second Commandments:

Exodus 20:3,4,&5

Commandment # 1 - "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

Commandment # 2 - "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments."

Also,

Exodus 23:24

"Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images."

The truth is that Icons are images created specifically to be honored, bowed down to, revered, prayed to, and worshipped, inexcusably diametrically & damnably contrary to God's Commandments and prohibitions.
