* Editor's Commentaries - #63 "Damn the Torpedoes & Full Speed Ahead!" 

What's the Question?  Stay 'tuned,' for the editor's answer.

.  The Way America's Political and Religious Leaders respond to terribly pivotal disasters and harbingers of looming peril, and blindly plunge us onward to destruction, while justifying their responses by appropriating God's endorsement, approval, and blessing, by paying lip-service to Honoring God.

.  What of dear old Admiral Farragut, are you criticizing a great American war hero?  No.  He was an extremely brave and inspiring leader.  But, the responsibilities and actions required of a battlefield commander in the thick of a raging battle are not the same as those required of a President, Vice-President, Senators, Congressmen, & Ministers when confronted with national disasters.

First and foremost, leaders must consider, question, and meditate on the foundational whys and wherefores of national disasters and what such disasters portend for the nation, rather than merely focusing on the comparatively superficial technical factors related to the disasters, and responding in predictable knee-jerk fashion with proud demagogic declarations, blindly committing increased resources to redoubling of efforts to continue with the same fateful plans, programs, and pursuits.  By way of example, consider the following. 

.  The murderous terrorist attacks on public school students and staff members by students.

Our leaders mourned for the murderers, praised the NEA, aggressively promoted secular psychological counseling for the survivors, forbid Christian memorials for the students who were martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ, decried excluding the murderers from any secular memorial to the murdered, emphasized the need for national gun confiscation, psychological monitoring of school students, and above all else tolerance of all things except for Christianity; an additional emphasis was an initiative to aggressively target "bullies," but not those students bent on committing mass-murder!

All of this wrong-heartedness, instead of seriously considering the immoral and anti-God indoctrination that children and young people are subjected to throughout their formative years in America's public school system, and what a large role the teachers unions have played in this devolution of schools; the prevalence of bloodlust entertainments, which are exceedingly more horrible than anything of yesteryear; the mind-affecting drugs routinely given to children and young people; the gargantuan collective institutionalized schools...and especially, the indictment of modern America that America's public school system represents.  No consideration was given, nor is given, to whether these monstrous premeditated attacks could possibly have been a last hour wake-up call to an American Ship of State nearing utter shipwreck and destruction.  In a manner of speaking, judgment began at the house of God, and many of those who were slaughtered were children of God who were martyred for their refusal to deny their Lord; to all of those too blind to see, this was the signature that this was indeed a wake-up cry of coming judgment upon all of America.

.  The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. 

.  The numerous kidnap, rape, murders of little girls, girls, and young women.

The fruits of insisting that evil is constitutionally protected free-speech, free-expression...decriminalizing rape of children ever since Alfred Kinsey's success at subverting and perverting state governments and public opinion in the 1940s!  Additionally, instead of prosecuting those monsters who kidnap, rape, and enslave/prostitute children (usually girls), young women, and women, as the capital criminals they are (in Bible times they were executed), in the USA if they ever are arrested, and tried, and convicted (a rarity) they are only jailed for a misdemeanor!  But typically they are not prevented from openly committing their evil.

Suffice to say that the prevalence of these crimes is an absolutely damning indictment of the now decadent and derelict United States of America.  But the US government leaders and ministers typically ignore the numerous kidnap, rape, and murder of little girls, girls, and young women; you know, it's just a sad but rare exceptional occurrence....

.  The numerous cases of children who have been removed from their natural parents by States for "safekeeping" only to be LOST...! 

What do you expect from a secular humanist, atheist, pluralist, multicultural, feminist, sexually perverse society and government?

.  The Corporate Executive Scandals. 

Ah yes, nothing systemic here, nothing pervasive in corporations, business schools, and American society here...No, No, it's just a rare, rare exception that gives a bad name to all the rest....

.  The still concealed crisis in the American blood supply, and the gross corruption and criminal wrongdoing in the American Red Cross.

No problem, it doesn't exist.  Full speed ahead.

.  The numerous terrorist-related attempts and attacks.  

We've got them under control....

.  The assorted scandals in the INS, FBI, CIA, Dept. of Defense....

We're fixing them....

.  The persistent many-years-long drought afflicting much of America.

Our economy is fundamentally strong, we're recovering, just not quite as robustly as we would like. 

.  The identity theft crisis.

Akin to, or analogous to, America's identity crisis, i.e., America has ceased to be good, and thus has ceased to be great!

.  The numerous bankruptcies of American corporate giants (not just the amorphous dot-coms).

Not a problem.

.  The "friendly fire" incident in Afghanistan, in which American pilots accidentally bombed Canadian peacekeepers. 

Speed

.  The murders committed at Ft. Bragg, NC, in which very recently returned American Special Forces soldiers slew their wives. 

Larium

.  The Columbia Space Shuttle disaster.

The seven astronauts were highly intelligent, highly educated, talented, accomplished, successful, impressive, and fine people...and will be sadly missed.  But the refrain oft repeated of "the best and the brightest," I don't know, personally, I think that description even more aptly describes those who were murdered at the schools in Littleton, CO; Springfield, OR; Pearl, MS; Jonesboro, AR; Paducah, KY; FL; VA...and the Church in Ft. Worth, TX.

The President made a fine speech, echoing the tribute paid by President Ronald Reagan to the crew of seven that died on the Space Shuttle Challenger after blasting off.  The problem with the tributes was not in referring to God, and the Holy Bible, and alluding to the LORD; the problem was in using God, in putting God's imprimatur on the space program, in making as if God personally endorsed and whole-heartedly approved of America's space program, cooperative American-Russian space program, and space exploration...all of which has it's base in opposition to God, and is instead married to atheist theories of evolution and supposed other evolutionary civilizations....  The NASA space program represents the vacuous, atheist, secular humanist, pluralist, multicultural, feminist morass that American Government, and increasingly society, has become. The program, like the nation itself, is wrong-hearted as well as wrong-headed, and is an exercise in the elevation of man as the measure of all things! 

Occasionally I think while standing up, walking, or even chewing gum, though I can't say I necessarily do my best thinking while exerting myself in these ways - Editor/Ed.

Boys are so silly, I prefer to do my deep thinking, reflection, ruminating, and meditation, while I am reclining at length in the tub, preferably with several servants to attend to my every whim and need.  [One must be careful to only think in moderation while soaking, though, lest one should turn into a prune!]  Umm, I wonder if those silly hunky stone-age boys are thinking about me?  If they think they can use me like I'm some worthless disposable thing, they've got another thing coming! 

{No, bathing beauty.  If I had a lady like you to think about (but a little less "hard-bodied"), I wouldn't manage to think of anything else.  It is true, God does work in mysterious ways.}
